|Manufacturer:||Smith & Wesson
|Country of origin:||United States
|Rate of fire:||Unknown|
This handgun is based on the Smith & Wesson Model 39 pistol but there are a few features that set it aside, like the Lexan grips allowing the owner to see how much ammunition is left. Another very noticeable difference when shooting is that there is no front sight. This is done so it won't snag any clothing when drawing. The gun has gone out of production in 1987, but the ASP is now back in production as the ASP 2000.
