The Steyr AUG is a common sight in media, due to its distinctive bullpup design. It appears in both the Black Ops campaign and online multiplayer. In single player, its appearance is an anachronism: the mission in which it appears is before the prototype design for the AUG ever existed. Regardless, the AUG possesses a high rate of fire and relatively low recoil. It can be used with virtually any of the sights available in the game, but it boasts a unique ACOG Scope, which appears to be the typical AUG sight. The AUG is similar to the FAMAS, but is unlocked later in the game. It does not appear in the campaign frequently, and is a default loadout only once.
